12th ANNUAL HOUSE OF HOTRODS CAR SHOW AND TOY DRIVE COLLECTS HUNDREDS OF TOYS AND RAISES OVER $1,900 IN DONATIONS FOR FORT WORTH ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN
We cannot imagine a better way to kick off the Christmas season than an event to give back to an organization that provide so much to our amazing communities around the area!
On Dec. 5th, the 12th annual House of Hotrods Car Show and Toy Drive was held at our campus here in Mansfield, Texas. Not only did we collect hundreds of toys, a record breaking amount, but we also received $1960 in cash donations all benefiting our charity – the Forth Worth Alliance for Children.
Fort Worth Alliance for Children, Tarrant County’s Children’s Advocacy Center program, is dedicated to the protection and healing of child abuse victims. For over 20 years, they have helped more than 46,000 children heal from the trauma of physical abuse, sexual abuse or from witnessing a violent crime. We are honored to have the opportunity to be able to partner up with such a great organization!
Our Car Show participants show up every year in force, and this year was no different! We had an amazing turn out and the public-vote awards competition for our handcrafted trophies was a tough one to say the least. Our 2015 winners included:
Best Interior – Randy English Ford F350
Best Mechanical – Steven Zapper 1968 Camaro
Best Paint – Richie Blackman 1969 Z/28 Camaro
Best Overall People’s Choice – Crystal Deist 1955 Ford F100
Best Overall House of Hotrods Staff Pick – Joe Syslo 1934 Ford Coupe
We would also like to thank Paul Foster and Cornwell Tools for their participation in the Car Show. With their generous donation of a rolling toolbox valued at $799, we were able to have a successful raffle to generate more funds for the Fort Worth Alliance for Children. Congrats to our lucky winner of the rolling toolbox Roy Blake (pictured below)!
